Brother vs Brother
For possibly the first time (let us know if you know otherwise) brothers will be facing off in this year’s Emotion Bowl. Idaho Falls Senior Lineman Jesse Caudle (#75) and Skyline Sophomore Lineman Garret Caudle (#55) bring this game’s emotion to a new level. When their mother, School District 91 Director of Secondary Education, who spent 10 years as principle at Skyline, wrote me about this historic event, I had only one question: Where will YOU be sitting?
As for the game, we will have as many family members there as possible, sitting on the Idaho Falls Tigers side. This is because we chose to sit on the side representing our senior boy, Jesse. My parents, Connie and Butch McGee, are driving down from Coeur d’ Alene to see the game. My ex-husband (Travis Caudle), his parents (Jerry and Jeannie Frazell) and his uncle (Mike Stoddard) all from Idaho Falls will also be there.
I do have to say that after working at Skyline High School for 10 years (once a Grizzly – always a Grizzly), it is hard to pick the Tigers over the Grizz. As with Emotion Bowl lore, it does not matter who has the best record. The team that can handle the game mentally and not let the “emotion” get to them, will be the winning team. I am sure many of those injured Tiger players will be back this Friday! This is how the Caudle-McGee family will handle the situation…We wish for both boys to give and play 110 percent. We hope both teams play their best game. We hope that both boys have fun. We hope that it is a battle until the end! And, may the goal posts be what they deserve to be.

Hard to pick a side, I hope both my nephews do well.
I am proud of you two, Jesse and Garret!!! Sibling rivalry GLORIFIED!! :)
Things are going be tense around the house this week. Good luck to you both but Mom is going to need the most Luck.
Garret Caudle got a bloody nose today at practice. He told me that’s how bad he wants to beat his brother and Idaho Falls. Jesse, the brother, told me that’s how bad Garret will be bleeding after the game Friday night. This is going to be an Emotion Bowl for the AGES!!
(You can catch the story on this sibling rivalry later this week, only on Local News 8!!)
46th game of the biggest high school rivalry in the entire state of Idaho. No school can say they come close to this game. Many upsets have come in this series. Hoping Idaho Falls can pull an upset. Go Tigers! By the way Jeff congratulations on your Bills fast start!
